ANGOLA
Documents required for Angola customs clearance as follows:
- Original Commercial Invoice listing HTS codes for each item
- Original Packing List
- Original Certificate of Origin
- Angolan Loading Certificate issued in country of shipment
** Originals must be stamped with a company stamp and signed by the shipper in blue ink **
Your commercial invoice must include the currency of the values listed. It should also include unit value and number of units sold. Identifying the HTS code on the invoice is also helpful in classifying the item properly with the local customs office.
A schedule B # or HTS code is required for every shipment prior to export.
If the value exceeds $2500 value, please also provide a completed SLI to ExFreight or complete the export declaration on the ExFreight website.
If your booking is Full Container (FCL), a VGM form must be completed before documentation cutoff date.
Please provide a scanned copy of the documents to ExFreight prior to freight departure.
Shipments to a military base may require additional fees and paperwork if the base requires an exclusive truck for delivery or bonded delivery.
Items prohibited from import into Angola include:
- Animals and Plants
- “Morality”-related materials
- Vehicles – Passenger vehicles more than 6 years old
- Biotechnology
- Imitations of national franchise formulas.
- Home-made or handmade medicines.
- Used batteries and accumulators.
- Retreaded or used tires.
- Counterfeit Goods
Goods requiring import licenses for specific Ministries include:
- Pharmaceutical products for human use
- Radios, transmitters, receivers, and other devices
- Weapons, ammunitions, fireworks, and explosives
- Plants, roots, bulbs, microbial cultures, buds, fruits, seeds
- Fiscal or postal stamps
- Poisonous and toxic substances and pharmaceuticals
- Samples or other goods imported for promotion and not commercial sale (Customs).
